This is the 1999–2016 platform only. The 2017+ Super Duty uses a different rear frame geometry and requires a separate BedStep unit.

Yes. The BedStep frame-mounts under the rear bumper specifically so it functions normally with the tailgate open or with a trailer hitched. This is the core advantage of the rear bumper mount position over alternatives that require tailgate clearance.
Does this fit my 2017 Super Duty?
No. Ford revised the Super Duty rear frame geometry starting in 2017. This BedStep (75303-01A) is built for the 1999–2016 frame only. A 2017+ Super Duty requires a different, platform-specific BedStep part number.
I have an aftermarket rear bumper — will this still mount?
