Description
The sPOD SourceLT Non-Switch Panel Kit (SKU 870116) is the universal 6-circuit solid-state SourceLT power module with 36-inch battery cables — no switch panel included. Entry tier in the sPOD non-switch panel lineup at the lowest price point. Six circuits at 30A each for builds running up to 6 accessories. Operates on 12V DC only.
Switch panel is NOT included. This is the SourceLT module and 36-inch cables only. This system is not expandable beyond 6 circuits. If your build may exceed 6 accessories, order the BantamX 36-inch kit (870114) at $105 more — replacing the module later costs more than buying up front.

sPOD Non-Switch Panel Module Selector
| SKU | Module | Circuits | Cable Length | Voltage | Expandable | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 870116 (this listing) | SourceLT | 6 | 36 inches | 12V DC only | No | — |
| 870117 | SourceLT | 6 | 84 inches | 12V DC only | No | Confirm |
| 870114 | BantamX | 8 | 36 inches | 12V or 24V | Yes — to 32 | +$105 |
| 870115 | BantamX | 8 | 84 inches | 12V or 24V | Yes — to 32 | +$125 |
Choose 870116 if your build is at 6 accessories or fewer, your module mounts within 3 feet of the battery, and 12V DC is the only voltage you need. Choose 870114 if there is any chance you add accessories later — the SourceLT has no upgrade path and replacing the module costs more than the $105 difference now.
Cable Length — Confirm Before Ordering
| Cable Length | Best For |
|---|---|
| 36 inches — 870116 (this listing) | Module mounted within 3 feet of battery — UTV engine bays, compact overland setups, short routing paths |
| 84 inches — 870117 | Module mounted more than 3 feet from battery — remote mounting, van builds, extended routing paths |
Measure your cable routing path from the battery to the planned module location before ordering. Insufficient cable length requires a return — excess is manageable.
Compatible sPOD Switch Panels and Control Interfaces
| Interface | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| sPOD Mini6 switch panel | Physical — 6 switches | Connects via RJ45 CAT-6 cable |
| sPOD HD switch panel | Physical — 8 switches, RGB backlit | Connects via RJ45 CAT-6 cable |
| sPOD BantamX touchscreen | Touchscreen | Connects via RJ45 CAT-6 cable |
| sPOD Mobile App (iOS/Android) | Bluetooth app — wireless | Built-in Bluetooth — no cable required |
Critical Compatibility
| Configuration | Notes |
|---|---|
| Non-sPOD switch panels | Not confirmed — SourceLT uses the sPOD CAT-6 RJ45 controller interface. Third-party switch panels are not compatible. |
| Builds requiring more than 6 circuits | SourceLT is a closed 6-circuit system. Order BantamX 36-inch (870114) for 8 expandable circuits. |
| 24V DC electrical systems | SourceLT operates on 12V DC only. Order a BantamX kit for 24V compatibility. |
| Winches and high-draw recovery motors | 30A max per circuit. Winches draw 250–400A under load. Wire winches direct to battery through a dedicated relay. |
| Any accessory requiring more than 30A per circuit | 30A hard ceiling per circuit. High-draw devices require direct battery wiring outside this system. |
| High-amp solenoids on the same battery post | High-amp solenoids or relay coils on the same positive battery post will damage the module. Isolate the SourceLT battery connection from any high-amp relay or solenoid. |
Common Questions
Does this kit work as a standalone wireless controller right out of the box? Yes — with the sPOD app. The SourceLT module has built-in Bluetooth and is fully functional with the free sPOD app as the sole control interface. Download the app, pair, label your circuits, and control all 6 from your phone. Add a compatible sPOD switch panel via the RJ45 port when needed.
SourceLT vs. BantamX — what is the real difference? Three things. Circuits: SourceLT gives you 6, BantamX gives you 8. Expandability: SourceLT is a closed system with no expansion path. BantamX is expandable to 32 channels. Voltage: SourceLT runs 12V DC only. BantamX runs 12V or 24V DC. If 6 circuits is genuinely your ceiling and 12V is all you need, the SourceLT saves $105. If there is any chance your build grows, the BantamX is the better foundation — replacing a module costs more than the price difference now.
Can I upgrade from the SourceLT to a BantamX later without rewiring everything? Partially. The accessory wiring connected to the terminal block transfers directly. The battery cables and CAT-6 controller cable are compatible with the BantamX. What changes is the module itself, which needs to be swapped and re-mounted. It is possible, but it is additional cost and labor that the $105 upfront difference eliminates.
What mounting hardware is included? None specific — this is a universal module. Mount using the module housing's mounting points to suit your build. Use the 90-degree bracket (910275) or flat bracket (910330) for a clean, permanent mount.
The Obsidian Take
The SourceLT Non-Switch Panel Kit (870116) is for the builder who is certain their build stops at 6 accessories, needs 12V DC only, and wants the lowest price point in the sPOD non-switch panel lineup. Module, 36-inch cables, Bluetooth ready, app or panel control — nothing more, nothing less.
The one decision to make honestly before ordering is whether 6 circuits is actually your ceiling. If it is, this is the right kit. If it is not, spend the extra $105 on the BantamX (870114) now. The SourceLT has no upgrade path.
Non-Returnable Notice: Electrical systems that have been powered and connected to a vehicle are non-returnable. Inspect the kit and confirm fitment before connecting to the battery.
