Description
The sPOD SourceLT Kit (SKU 873010) is the vehicle-specific 6-circuit solid-state power management system for the 2012–2017 Toyota Tundra (2nd Generation) with a Red LED switch panel. The panel installs in place of the in-cab sunglass compartment — factory-style integration, no drilling, no modifications. The SourceLT module mounts in the engine bay. A single 10-foot controller cable connects both. No wires cut, no factory circuits tapped. Operates on 12V DC. Red LED — maximum night vision preservation, the traditional standard for low-light and off-road driving.
This kit does NOT fit the 2022–2026 Tundra (3rd Gen). Confirm your model year before ordering. This system is not expandable beyond 6 circuits.

Common Questions
Why Red instead of Green or Blue for off-road and trail use? Red light sits at the far end of the visible spectrum and causes the least pupil contraction of any LED color — your eyes stay adjusted to low-light conditions when you look away from the panel. This is why red lighting is standard in military, aviation, and maritime operations that require sustained dark adaptation. For a Tundra running dark forest roads, canyon trails, or backcountry routes at night, Red is the technically correct panel color. Green and Blue cause significantly more pupil contraction, reducing your night vision recovery time every time you check a switch.
Red vs. Amber — which is better for night vision? Red provides slightly more night vision preservation than Amber because it sits at the extreme end of the visible spectrum with the least photoreceptor stimulation. Amber is warmer and slightly more readable in intermediate lighting. For complete darkness, Red is the better choice. For mixed lighting environments, Amber is more versatile.
Does installation require cutting factory wires? No. The SourceLT module connects directly to the battery via the included 36-inch cable set. A single CAT-6 cable runs from the module to the switch panel in the sunglass compartment position. No factory circuits are tapped, no wires are cut.
Can I expand beyond 6 circuits later? No. The SourceLT is a closed 6-circuit system with no expansion path. If there is any chance you need more circuits, order a BantamX kit for the Tundra platform now.
The Obsidian Take
The SourceLT Kit (873010) is for the 2012–2017 Tundra owner who runs their truck hard at night — dark trails, backcountry routes, extended off-road sessions where preserving dark adaptation matters. Red LED is the maximum night vision preservation option in the lineup, not just a color preference. Same system, same 6 circuits, same sunglass compartment mount. The only decision left is whether this Tundra primarily lives in the dark — if yes, Red is the right call.
