Description
The sPOD SourceLT Kit (SKU 873005) is the vehicle-specific 6-circuit solid-state power management system for the 2012–2017 Toyota Tundra (2nd Generation) with an Amber LED switch panel. The panel installs in place of the in-cab sunglass compartment — factory-style integration, no drilling, no modifications. The SourceLT module mounts in the engine bay. A single 10-foot controller cable connects both. No wires cut, no factory circuits tapped. Operates on 12V DC. Amber LED — warm, low-glare illumination that preserves night vision during off-road and trail driving.
This kit does NOT fit the 2022–2026 Tundra (3rd Gen). Confirm your model year before ordering. This system is not expandable beyond 6 circuits. If your build requires 8 circuits, order a BantamX kit for the Tundra platform instead.

2nd Gen Tundra SourceLT — Panel Color Selector
| SKU | LED Color | Price | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 873000 | Green | $590.00 | All-around visibility — daylight and low-light; best switch-state readability across lighting conditions |
| 873005 (this listing) | Amber | $590.00 | Low-glare night use — warm spectrum, minimal pupil contraction, better night vision preservation than green or blue |
| 873010 | Red | $590.00 | Dedicated night trail use — traditional night-vision standard, maximum preservation |
| 873020 | Blue | $590.00 | High-contrast visibility — daily drivers where daytime switch-state visibility matters more than night vision |
All four kits are identical in circuit count, amp rating, features, and system architecture. Color refers to LED switch illumination only.

Common Questions
Amber vs. Red — which is better for night trail use? Both preserve night vision significantly better than Green or Blue. Amber sits in the warm spectrum with minimal pupil contraction — your eyes adapt more easily between the panel and the dark outside. Red is the traditional night-vision standard used in military and aviation applications — maximum preservation. For a Tundra running dark forest roads or canyon trails, either is the right choice. Amber is slightly more readable in intermediate lighting conditions; Red is better for complete darkness. Both are dramatically better than Green or Blue for night use.
Does installation require cutting factory wires? No. The SourceLT module connects directly to the battery via the included 36-inch cable set. A single CAT-6 cable runs from the module to the switch panel in the sunglass compartment position. No factory circuits are tapped, no wires are cut.
How do I confirm I have a 2nd gen Tundra? The 2nd generation Tundra ran from 2007 through 2021. The 3rd generation launched for the 2022 model year. If your Tundra is a 2021 or earlier, it is a 2nd gen. Confirm your model year on your window sticker or door jamb before ordering.
Can I expand beyond 6 circuits later? No. The SourceLT is a closed 6-circuit system with no expansion path. If there is any chance you need more circuits, order a BantamX kit for the Tundra platform now.
The Obsidian Take
The SourceLT Kit (873005) is for the 2012–2017 Tundra owner who runs extended night sessions on trail and wants accessory control that does not blow out night vision every time they check a switch. Amber LED sits in the warm spectrum — readable without the harsh contrast that Green or Blue creates in a dark cab.
Same system as every other color in this lineup — 6 circuits, sunglass compartment mount, one cable into the cab, no relay box. The only decision is whether Amber or Red is the right night-vision choice for how you actually use the truck. If the answer involves a lot of time in complete darkness, Red (873010) is slightly better. If the truck sees mixed lighting, Amber is the more versatile call.
