Description
The sPOD HD BantamX (SKU 870092) is the vehicle-specific dual-location power management system for the 2022–2025 Polaris RZR Pro R and RZR Pro R 4. The HD switch panel mounts to the roof bar for natural operator reach during trail use. The BantamX power module mounts in the footwell for debris protection and post-run service access. Vehicle-specific hardware for both locations is included — no custom fabrication required.
Confirm your trim and model year against the production table before ordering. Sport trim was not produced in 2023 or 2024. Premium trim was not produced in 2025.

Why Dual-Location Mounting
| Location | Function |
|---|---|
| Roof bar — HD switch panel | Natural operator reach during trail use; clear of driver knees and leg movement on aggressive terrain |
| Passenger footwell — BantamX module | Protected from roost, mud, and debris at speed; service points remain accessible after the run |
A single under-dash or under-hood module forces a tradeoff between operator reach and module protection. The 870092 eliminates that tradeoff with vehicle-specific hardware for both positions included in the kit.
Kit Contents
- sPOD HD BantamX power management module (8-circuit, expandable)
- HD switch panel
- Vehicle-specific roof bar mounting hardware
- Vehicle-specific footwell mounting hardware
- All required installation hardware
Note: The 870092 PCM bracket may interfere with aftermarket accessories already mounted on the passenger footwell. Confirm footwell clearance before ordering.
HD BantamX 870092 vs. BantamX Switch Panel Kit — Configuration Selector
| SKU | Panel Location | Module Location | Price Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 870092 (this listing) | Roof bar | Passenger footwell | — |
| 870095 / 870128 / 870129 / 870131 | In-cab switch panel | With module | −$220 |
Same platform, same 8-circuit BantamX module, same expandability. The difference is mounting architecture and switch panel style. Choose 870092 for roof bar panel reach and footwell module protection. Choose the Switch Panel Kit variants for in-cab panel control at a lower price point.

Critical Compatibility — Does NOT Fit
FITMENT: Trim production gaps exist. If your trim-year combination is not in the table above, that machine was not produced. Confirm before ordering. Questions? Text (469) 407-7538.
| Configuration | Reason |
|---|---|
| RZR Pro R Sport — 2023 or 2024 | Sport trim not produced in 2023 or 2024. That vehicle does not exist. |
| RZR Pro R Premium — 2025 | Premium trim not produced in 2025. That vehicle does not exist. |
| 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R | Compatibility not confirmed for 2026. Text (469) 407-7538 before ordering. |
| Polaris RZR Turbo R | Different chassis platform. Does not fit. |
| Any RZR platform other than Pro R | Not confirmed without specific verification. |
| Winches and high-draw recovery motors | 30A max per circuit. Winches draw 250–400A under load. Wire winches direct to battery through a dedicated relay. |
| Any accessory requiring more than 30A per circuit | 30A hard ceiling per circuit. High-draw devices require direct battery wiring outside this system. |
Common Questions
Why does the switch panel go on the roof bar instead of the dash? Trail use on the RZR Pro R involves constant hand repositioning — the roof bar puts the switch panel within natural reach without taking eyes or hands off the wheel. The roof bar position also keeps the panel clear of the driver's knees and leg movement on aggressive terrain.
Why does the power module go in the footwell? The footwell protects the BantamX module from the roost, mud, and debris the RZR Pro R chassis sees at speed — while keeping the module accessible for circuit checks and wiring service after a run. Under-dash mounting provides similar protection but reduces service access.
How do I confirm my trim is in production for my model year? Check the production table above. Sport trims were not produced in 2023 or 2024. Premium trims were not produced in 2025. If your trim-year combination is not in the table, that machine was not produced. Text (469) 407-7538 with your VIN and we will verify before we ship.
Does the BantamX tap into the RZR's factory wiring? No. The BantamX module connects directly to the battery via the included cable set. A single CAT-6 cable runs from the footwell module to the roof bar switch panel. No factory circuits are tapped, no wires are cut, no holes are drilled.
Can I expand beyond 8 circuits later? Yes. The BantamX has two RJ45 controller ports and is expandable to 32 channels via the sPOD BantamX add-on system. The 870092 is the foundation of an expandable power management architecture, not a closed system.
The Obsidian Take
The 870092 is for the 2022–2025 RZR Pro R owner who wants organized, vehicle-specific power management in two locations — switch panel where your hand naturally goes on trail, module where it stays protected from debris. No fabrication. No guesswork. Hardware for both mounting points is in the box.
If you want the panel in the cab and don't need the roof bar configuration, save $220 and order one of the Switch Panel Kit variants (870095, 870128, 870129, or 870131). If your RZR is a Turbo R or a 2026 model, this kit does not fit.
Roof bar reach. Footwell protection. One cable connecting both. That is the entire case for the 870092.
