The complete 2024–2025 system is BD-SS-301-JT4 — includes driver side, passenger side, rear extension, standalone wire harness, and magnetic door sensors in 3 boxes. If you already have the complete system and need a replacement driver side unit, this is the correct sub-part. For a fresh complete install, order BD-SS-301-JT4.
Why is the driver side heavier than the rear extension sub-part?
The driver side step slider (69 lbs) is the primary structural unit — it houses the motor, deploy mechanism, stainless steel internals, and the full-length step surface. The rear extension (47 lbs) extends the step coverage toward the rear door but does not contain the primary motor assembly.
Why does the 2024–2025 JT need a different SKU than 2020–2023?
Jeep made changes to the Gladiator JT mounting geometry for the 2024 model year. Installing a 2020–2023 SKU on a 2024–2025 JT results in a fitment mismatch. The 2026 JT again uses a different SKU (BD-SS-302-JT4).
Does the sleep mode affect normal operation?
No. Sleep mode reduces power draw during periods of inactivity — it does not affect the auto-deploy function when doors are opened normally.
