Why does the 2024–2025 JT need a different kit than 2020–2023?
Jeep revised the Gladiator JT mounting geometry for the 2024 model year. The step slider sub-parts use year-specific brackets and mounting hardware. Installing the 2020–2023 kit on a 2024–2025 JT results in a fitment mismatch. The 2026 JT requires another revision (BD-SS-302-JT4).
Does this include everything needed for a complete install?
Yes — driver side, passenger side, rear extension, standalone wire harness, magnetic door sensors, and all mounting hardware are included. Optional accessories (skid plates, rocker guards, LED kit, door delete kit) are sold separately.
Does the override switch work for trail use?
Yes. The override switch disables the auto-deploy function so the step stays retracted on trail. When disabled, the step does not deploy when doors open. Re-enable for normal daily driving operation.
Does installation void the Gladiator factory warranty?
