For rocker protection applications, this means the Deluxe Rock Rail can absorb and distribute impact loads from rock strikes and trail obstacles at a weight appropriate for the JT platform without requiring the additional suspension or weight management considerations of heavier tube slider designs. The no-drill mounting system uses the Gladiator's factory body mounting holes, which preserves the factory corrosion protection applied at those locations during manufacturing. Drilling new holes in the rocker area exposes bare metal to moisture and accelerates corrosion — the factory-hole system eliminates this risk. The rail is designed for mild to moderate off-road use — rock crawling at extreme angles or sustained high-impact trail use may exceed the design parameters of the Deluxe series.
