The Axiom Heavy Duty Heim Joint (SKU: JMXR10-12T-F-XXVEZ) is a high-strength spherical rod end (heim joint) for UTV suspension and steering linkage applications requiring a 3/4" shank diameter, 5/8" bore, and right-hand thread. This is a reducing joint — the 3/4" shank threads into the rod end tube while the 5/8" bore accepts a 5/8" mounting bolt or pin. Used in custom fabrication and suspension builds where the tube thread is 3/4" but the mounting hardware is 5/8". Zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance in mud, sand, rock, and trail environments. Right-hand thread — confirm your application requires right-hand thread before ordering. High-strength housing and ball. Sold individually.

Symptoms of a Worn Heim Joint

• Steering wander or vague on-center feel
• Clunking or knocking from suspension or steering linkage over rough terrain
• Visible play or slop in the joint when checked by hand

Installation Notes

• Thread direction confirmation required: Confirm the application requires right-hand thread before ordering. Right-hand and left-hand heim joints are not interchangeable — installing the wrong thread direction will not allow correct adjustment and can back out under load.
• Reducing bore confirmation: Confirm your mounting bolt or pin is 5/8" and your tube thread is 3/4" before ordering. If both shank and bore are 3/4", order JMXR12T-F1-XXVEZ instead. If you need left-hand thread with these same dimensions, order JMXL10-12T-F-XXVEZ.
• Jam nut required: Secure with a right-hand thread jam nut after adjustment. Do not operate without a properly torqued jam nut — the joint will back out under vibration and load.
• Torque specs: Torque heim joint shank and jam nut to manufacturer specification for your UTV suspension or steering system.
• Inspection interval: Inspect for play, binding, or corrosion at regular service intervals. Replace immediately if play is detected.
• Grease fitting: If the joint includes a grease fitting, grease at installation and at regular service intervals per manufacturer recommendation.

Installation Warning

Do not install in a left-hand thread application — installing the wrong thread direction will not allow correct adjustment and can back out under load. Do not install if bore or shank dimensions do not match — incorrect dimensions cause joint failure under load. Do not operate without a properly torqued jam nut. Replace immediately if play is detected. Once installed, the unit is non-returnable.
