Axiom Heavy Duty Heim Joint | 3/4" x 3/4" | Left-Hand Thread | Zinc Plated | UTV Suspension & Steering
The Axiom Heavy Duty Heim Joint (SKU: JMXL12T-F1-XXVEZ) is a high-strength spherical rod end (heim joint) for UTV suspension and steering linkage applications requiring a 3/4" shank diameter, 3/4" bore, and left-hand thread. Zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance in mud, sand, rock, and trail environments. Left-hand thread heim joints are used on the opposite end of tie rods, suspension links, and steering components from right-hand thread joints — this allows the link length to be adjusted by rotating the tube without backing either joint out. Confirm your application requires left-hand thread before ordering. High-strength housing and ball. Smooth, consistent pivoting under high-load and high-impact off-road conditions. Sold individually.

Installation Notes
- Thread direction confirmation required: Confirm the application requires left-hand thread before ordering. Left-hand thread joints turn opposite to standard — do not force installation if resistance is felt. Installing a right-hand thread joint in a left-hand application will cross-thread and damage the rod end or tube.
- Why left-hand thread: Left-hand thread heim joints are paired with right-hand thread joints on opposite ends of a tie rod or suspension link. Rotating the center tube adjusts link length without removing either joint — this is the correct adjustment method for turnbuckle-style links.
- Dimension confirmation: Verify shank diameter (3/4"), bore size (3/4"), and thread pitch match your application before installation.
- Jam nut required: Secure with a left-hand thread jam nut after adjustment. Do not operate without a properly torqued jam nut — the joint will back out under vibration and load.
- Torque specs: Torque heim joint shank and jam nut to manufacturer specification for your UTV suspension or steering system.
- Inspection interval: Inspect for play, binding, or corrosion at regular service intervals. Replace immediately if play is detected.
Installation Warning
Do not install in a right-hand thread application — cross-threading will damage the rod end or tube. Do not force installation if resistance is felt — stop and confirm thread direction. Do not operate without a properly torqued left-hand thread jam nut. Replace immediately if play is detected. Once installed, the unit is non-returnable.
