The Fox 2.5 Performance Elite rear shock (SKU: AX096) is Fox's top-tier performance shock for 2005–2026 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks running stock height or up to 1.5" of rear lift. This listing includes a matched pair (2 shocks) for a complete rear replacement. The 2.5" aluminum body provides maximum oil volume and heat capacity. Performance Elite valving delivers the highest level of damping control in the Fox lineup — above the 2.5 HTO (AX4001) and 2.0 Performance Series (AX151). Tuned specifically for the F-250 and F-350 chassis under sustained high-load towing, hauling, and rough-road conditions. Not a universal shock.

Does NOT fit: Ford F-450 or F-550 (different rear suspension geometry). Does not fit 1999–2004 Super Duty (different rear shock mounting). Does not fit trucks with more than 1.5" of rear lift — a longer-travel shock is required. Not compatible with long-travel or coilover conversion systems. Does not fit F-150.

Installation Notes
