The COR-5209011 is Clayton Off Road's high-clearance steering stabilizer relocation bracket kit for the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT. The factory JL/JT steering stabilizer mounts below the tie rod — a position that exposes it to direct rock contact on technical terrain. This kit replaces the factory axle-side stabilizer mount with a raised double-shear bracket that positions the stabilizer above the tie rod, eliminating the low-mount exposure point. The bracket is CNC laser-cut and bent from 3/16" steel with a gold zinc plated finish for corrosion resistance. It clamps to the factory axle bracket using Grade 8 hardware and requires drilling one 3/8" hole in the factory axle mount for installation. A key design feature is track bar bolt access: the bracket is specifically dimensioned to clear the track bar bolt head, allowing the track bar hardware to be inspected and retorqued without removing the stabilizer bracket. The kit also includes an upgraded Grade 8 flanged track bar bolt and top-lock nut — the flanged nut contacts the axle body directly, preventing rotation and reducing the likelihood of loosening under vibration. The top-lock nut uses deformed thread zones at the crown for additional retention. Torque spec for the track bar bolt is 146 ft-lbs. Compatible with factory and most aftermarket stabilizers. Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Drill one 3/8" hole in the factory axle bracket before installation — this is the only modification required to the factory hardware.
- Clean the factory axle bracket contact surface before installing the double-shear bracket — remove dirt, rust, and undercoating for proper clamp load.
- Torque all Grade 8 bracket hardware to specification — refer to Clayton's installation instructions for bracket bolt torque values.
- Install the included Grade 8 flanged track bar bolt and top-lock nut in place of the OEM track bar bolt at the axle end — torque to 146 ft-lbs.
- Top-lock nut warning: will not thread to final position by hand — start by hand to confirm thread engagement, then torque with a calibrated wrench.
- Verify track bar bolt head is accessible after bracket installation — the bracket is designed to clear it, but confirm clearance before final torque.
- Verify your stabilizer's axle-end mount is compatible with the raised double-shear bracket before installation — most factory and aftermarket stabilizers are compatible, but confirm eye diameter and pin size.
- If running an aftermarket tie rod, do not use the included tie rod mount — source the appropriate bracket for your specific tie rod diameter and mount style.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Compatible with standard JL/JT wheel and tire combinations. Stabilizer relocation does not affect wheel or tire fitment directly — verify stabilizer length and travel are appropriate for your lift height after installation.
