The OEM front lower control arm brackets on the JL and JT are exposed to rock strikes and trail debris during off-road use. These mini skid plates are CNC cut and bent from 1/4" steel and weld onto the front face of the OEM front lower control arm brackets, adding both a protective steel layer and structural reinforcement to the factory brackets. The weld-on design integrates the skid plates with the factory bracket structure, adding strength beyond what a bolt-on skid plate can provide. Welding is required for installation. Sold as a pair. Installation & Fabrication Notes

• Welding required. These mini skid plates are not a bolt-on product — welding capability is required for installation.
• Clean the front face of the OEM front lower control arm brackets before welding — remove any dirt, grease, or undercoating from the weld area.
• Position the mini skid plates on the front face of the OEM front lower control arm brackets per Clayton's installation instructions.
• Tack weld in position, verify alignment, then fully weld per Clayton's installation instructions.
• Allow welds to cool, then grind, prime, and paint or apply your preferred finish to the weld area.
• Verify full front suspension articulation after installation — confirm no contact between the skid plates and adjacent components at full droop and full compression.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Compatible with standard JL and JT wheel and tire combinations. These mini skid plates protect and reinforce the front lower control arm brackets and do not affect wheel or tire fitment directly.
