The COR-4807002 is Clayton Off Road's front long arm upgrade kit for the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler LJ Unlimited, designed for builds running 4–8" of lift. This is a front-half kit — it includes the front frame brackets, upper and lower adjustable control arms, and all hardware. The longer arm geometry reduces front suspension angles at lift height compared to short arm geometry, resulting in a smoother on-road ride, greater off-road articulation, and reduced wear on related components. The frame-end joints are Currie Johnny Joints — 40° of unrestricted movement with Tough 88 urethane casing for shock absorption and NVH isolation that heim joints cannot provide. The axle-end joints are GIIRO dual-durometer bushings — maintenance-free, self-centering, and NVH-isolating. The upper and lower control arms are adjustable for precise geometry tuning. Installation & Fabrication Notes

• No welding required for this front long arm upgrade kit.
• Install the front frame brackets in the factory front control arm frame mount locations.
• Install the upper and lower adjustable control arms and set initial length per Clayton's geometry specifications for your lift height.
• Set caster and pinion angle with the vehicle at ride height after full installation.
• Front alignment (caster, toe) must be verified after installation — do not drive without alignment after a long arm conversion.
• Torque all control arm hardware at ride height, not at full droop or compression.
• Verify front driveshaft angle and U-joint operating angles after installation — the longer arm geometry changes the caster angle and may affect driveshaft operating angles.
• If upgrading to a 3-link front geometry at the same time, install COR-4807013 components before final alignment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Compatible with standard LJ wheel and tire combinations at 4–8" of lift. Front long arm geometry affects suspension travel and tire clearance — verify clearance at full droop and full compression with your specific tire size after installation.

Engineering Question: What is your current lift height on the LJ? This kit is designed for 4–8" of lift — if you're running less than 4", the long arm geometry correction may not be necessary. Also confirm your vehicle is a 2004–2006 LJ Unlimited (4-door, long wheelbase) — this kit does not fit the standard 2-door TJ or any JK/JL platform.
