The COR-5206902 is Clayton Off Road's complete 7075 aluminum steering upgrade kit for the 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ. This is the top of the Clayton WJ steering product family — it includes both the tie rod bar and drag link bar machined from 1-3/8" solid 7075-T651 aluminum, jam nuts, and the upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount. End links are not included: the kit is designed for customers who already have factory or upgraded OE-style end links and want to transfer them to the new aluminum bars without paying for new ends. Installation is 100% bolt-in: remove the factory tie rod and drag link, thread your existing end links onto the new aluminum bars, and install the assembly in the factory positions. The upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount is included and must be installed — the factory WJ steering stabilizer is not compatible with this system. A Fox or Bilstein steering stabilizer is required (see related items). The 7075-T651 alloy provides significantly higher tensile strength than the factory stamped steel bars, resisting the bending and flex that causes factory WJ steering components to deform under trail load. Compatible with stock height and lifted WJ builds. Made in the USA.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Remove the factory WJ tie rod and drag link assemblies.
- Transfer your existing factory or upgraded OE-style end links from the factory bars to the new aluminum bars — thread to the same engagement depth as the factory bars.
- Install the upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount included in this kit.
- Do not reinstall the factory steering stabilizer — it is not compatible with this system. Install a Fox or Bilstein steering stabilizer using the included upgraded mount before driving.
- Install both bars in the factory tie rod and drag link positions — no cutting, welding, or bracket modification required.
- Torque all end link and jam nut hardware to OE specification at ride height.
- Front alignment (toe, steering center) must be verified after installation.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Compatible with standard WJ wheel and tire combinations at stock height and with a lift. Verify steering center and toe alignment after installation with your specific tire size.
Engineering Question: Are your existing end links in good condition and the correct OE-style thread spec for the WJ? This kit is designed to reuse factory or upgraded OE-style end links — if your end links are worn, damaged, or non-standard, order COR-5206906 (complete tie rod system with ends) and COR-5206904 (complete drag link system with ends) instead.
