Description
Is This for You?
- You want a complete bolt-in WJ drag link upgrade with OE-style end links already installed — open the box, unbolt the factory drag link, and bolt this in — unlike the bar-only COR-5206911, this complete system includes the 7075-T651 aluminum drag link bar with OE-style end links pre-installed, so there's nothing to source or thread separately.
- You want to keep your factory steering stabilizer or upgrade to a Fox or Bilstein — unlike the complete tie rod system (COR-5206906), this drag link system is compatible with the factory WJ steering stabilizer as well as Fox and Bilstein upgrades, giving you flexibility on the stabilizer side of the build.
- You already have upgraded end links and want just the bars and hardware without paying for new ends — if you've already upgraded your end links, the Clayton WJ Upgrade Steering System is the better option: it includes the aluminum tie rod, drag link, jam nuts, and stabilizer mount and allows you to reuse your existing end links.
The Result
- Complete bolt-in drag link system — 1-3/8" solid 7075-T651 aluminum bar with OE-style end links pre-installed. Unbolt the factory drag link, bolt this in, done.
- Factory stabilizer compatible — an upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount is available if you want to upgrade to a Fox or Bilstein, but the factory WJ stabilizer can be reused with this system.
- Pairs with COR-5206906 (complete tie rod system) for a full heavy-duty bolt-in WJ steering upgrade. Pitman arm end (CRO-52088511) is non-greaseable.
The COR-5206904 is Clayton Off Road's complete 7075 aluminum drag link system for the 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ. The system includes the 1-3/8" solid 7075-T651 aluminum drag link bar with OE-style end links pre-installed — the complete assembly is ready to bolt in as a direct replacement for the factory WJ drag link without any additional parts sourcing. The 7075-T651 alloy provides significantly higher tensile strength than the factory stamped steel drag link, resisting the bending and flex that causes factory WJ drag links to deform under trail load and high-steer inputs. A key distinction from the complete tie rod system (COR-5206906): this drag link system is compatible with the factory WJ steering stabilizer, so you can reuse the factory stabilizer or upgrade to a Fox or Bilstein version via an available upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount. The pitman arm end (CRO-52088511) included in this system is non-greaseable — it is a sealed, maintenance-free end. If you have already upgraded your WJ end links and want to reuse them, the Clayton WJ Upgrade Steering System is the appropriate option as it includes the aluminum bars, jam nuts, and stabilizer mount without new end links. Pairs with COR-5206906 (complete tie rod system) for a full heavy-duty bolt-in WJ steering upgrade. Made in the USA.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
✅ Fits 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ — All Trims — Complete Drag Link System, Bolt-In

Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Remove the factory WJ drag link assembly — this complete system replaces it as a direct bolt-in.
- Install this assembly in the factory drag link position — no cutting, welding, or bracket modification required.
- The pitman arm end (CRO-52088511) is non-greaseable — do not attempt to install a grease fitting; it is a sealed, maintenance-free end.
- Factory WJ steering stabilizer can be reused with this system — if upgrading to a Fox or Bilstein stabilizer, install the available upgraded tie rod stabilizer mount at the same time.
- Torque all end link hardware to OE specification at ride height.
- Front alignment (toe, steering center) must be verified after installation.
- If pairing with COR-5206906 complete tie rod system, install both before setting final alignment.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Compatible with standard WJ wheel and tire combinations at stock height and with a lift. Verify steering center and toe alignment after installation with your specific tire size.
Engineering Question: Have you already upgraded your WJ end links? If so, the Clayton WJ Upgrade Steering System is the better option — it includes the aluminum bars, jam nuts, and stabilizer mount and lets you reuse your existing end links. Also confirm whether you plan to reuse the factory stabilizer or upgrade to Fox or Bilstein — if upgrading, source the compatible tie rod stabilizer mount at the same time to avoid a second installation.
