Description
Is This for You?
- You're running 4–5" of lift on a TJ or LJ, or 3–6" on an XJ or ZJ, and your front axle is walking left or right under acceleration or braking — the factory track bar is the wrong length for your lift height, and this adjustable bar lets you dial in axle centering precisely without shimming or bending the OEM bar.
- You want a greaseable, rebuildable Johnny Joint at the frame end and a maintenance-free GIIRO bushing at the axle end — the frame end sees the highest lateral load and benefits from the Johnny Joint's rebuildability; the axle end uses a dual-durometer GIIRO bushing for NVH isolation and self-centering compliance without maintenance intervals.
- You're upgrading from a factory track bar that's binding, worn, or undersized for your lift — the 1-3/8" x 5/16" wall DOM tube is significantly stiffer than the OEM stamped steel bar, and the bent design provides maximum clearance for lift kits and aftermarket components.
The Result
- Adjustable length — optimized for TJ/LJ at 4–5" of lift and XJ/ZJ at 3–6" of lift; dial in axle centering precisely at your specific ride height.
- Johnny Joint adjuster at the frame end — greaseable, rebuildable, high misalignment for the lateral load demands of the frame-side track bar mount.
- GIIRO dual-durometer bushing at the axle end — maintenance-free, self-centering, NVH-isolating compliance at the axle mount. 9/16" Grade 8 thru-bolt allows drilling out the factory axle bracket to accept the HD bushing.
The COR-4500200 is Clayton Off Road's adjustable front track bar for the 1984–2006 Jeep TJ, LJ, XJ, and ZJ platforms. The bar is built from 1-3/8" x 5/16" wall DOM tubing — a significantly stiffer cross-section than the OEM stamped steel track bar — and is bent for maximum clearance with lift kits and aftermarket components. The frame-end joint is a Johnny Joint adjuster: greaseable, rebuildable, and rated for high misalignment under the lateral loads generated at the frame-side track bar mount. The axle-end joint is a GIIRO dual-durometer bushing — a softer outer layer for NVH isolation and a stiffer inner core for lateral load resistance, self-centering and maintenance-free for the life of the bar. The axle-end hardware uses a 9/16" Grade 8 thru-bolt, sized to allow the factory axle bracket hole to be drilled out to accept the larger HD bushing without replacing the bracket. Adjustable length is optimized for TJ/LJ builds running 4–5" of lift and XJ/ZJ builds running 3–6" of lift. Pairs with Clayton track bar brackets for a complete front track bar upgrade. Lifetime warranty. Made in the USA.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Drill out the factory axle bracket hole to 9/16" to accept the HD GIIRO bushing and Grade 8 thru-bolt — do not attempt to install the axle-end bushing in an unmodified factory bracket hole.
- Adjust track bar length with the axle centered under the vehicle at ride height — do not set length at full droop or full compression.
- Grease the Johnny Joint frame-end adjuster at the zerk fitting before first use and at regular service intervals.
- GIIRO axle-end bushing is maintenance-free — no grease fitting, no service interval at the axle mount.
- Torque 9/16" Grade 8 axle-end thru-bolt to specification at ride height, not at full droop.
- After installation, verify axle centering by measuring equal distance from the tire to the fender on both sides at ride height — adjust bar length as needed.
- Pairs with Clayton track bar brackets for a complete front track bar upgrade — verify bracket compatibility with your specific platform before ordering.
- Front alignment (toe, caster) should be verified after installation.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Compatible with standard TJ/LJ/XJ/ZJ wheel and tire combinations within the specified lift ranges. Axle centering directly affects tire clearance at full steering lock — verify clearance after installation with your specific tire size.
Engineering Question: What is your current lift height and platform? TJ/LJ builds should be running 4–5" of lift for this bar to provide the correct adjustment range; XJ/ZJ builds should be running 3–6". If your lift height falls outside these ranges, this bar may not provide sufficient adjustment to center your axle — contact us before ordering to verify fitment for your specific build.
