The COR-4500502 is Clayton Off Road's adjustable front track bar with OE-height bracket for the 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and 1993–1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ, designed for builds running 3–6" of lift. Unlike the drop bracket version (COR-4500512, designed for 6–8" of lift), this kit uses a 1/4" bracket that maintains the OEM track bar height position. At 3–6" of lift, the OE-height bracket provides the double-shear strength advantage without requiring a drop pitman arm — the stock pitman arm is compatible at this lift range. The bracket bolts to the OEM frame location — adding a few small welds is strongly recommended for superior strength over a bolt-only installation. Installation & Fabrication Notes

• Drilling required: Drill out the factory front axle track bar mount hole to accept the 9/16" Grade 8 HD bolt per Clayton's installation instructions before installing the track bar.
• Welds on bracket strongly recommended: The 1/4" OE-height bracket bolts to the OEM frame track bar mount location. Adding a few small welds to the bracket is strongly recommended for superior strength over a bolt-only installation.
• Install the bracket to the OEM frame location, verify alignment and position, then add welds per Clayton's installation instructions.
• Install the 9/16" Grade 8 HD bolt and flanged tab in the drilled axle mount location.
• Install the adjustable track bar between the bracket and the axle mount.
• Set the track bar length with the vehicle at ride height and the front axle centered under the vehicle — adjust within the 31-1/8" to 32-3/16" center-to-center range until the axle is centered laterally.
• Stock pitman arm is compatible at 3–6" of lift — no drop pitman arm required at this lift range.
• Torque all hardware to specification at ride height.
• Verify front axle centering and tire clearance after installation.
• After centering the front axle, verify steering wheel centering and have the front alignment checked.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Compatible with standard XJ and ZJ wheel and tire combinations at 3–6" of lift. Front track bar length and bracket position affect front axle centering, tire clearance, and steering wheel centering — verify equal clearance on both sides and steering wheel position after installation.
