Why do these shocks require 2.5" of front lift to work?
The Signature shocks are sized for 9" of front wheel travel — that's longer than the factory shock can accommodate at stock ride height. The 2.5" front lift creates the geometry that puts these shocks in their optimal operating range. At stock ride height, the shocks are too long to cycle correctly and the front suspension cannot use the travel they provide.
