Installation Notes

Skill level: Intermediate. Shock replacement is significantly less complex than the complete systems earlier in this Carli session. A qualified shop or experienced installer with proper lift equipment can complete this installation.

Post-install alignment: Full front-end alignment is recommended after any front suspension work, including shock replacement paired with leveling springs.

Reservoir bracket installation: Coil-mounted short reservoir brackets are included. Brackets mount to the front coil spring to position the shock reservoir correctly.

Shock body protection: King shocks are built with a plated steel body. In harsh climates or off-road environments with heavy water exposure, Carli recommends wrapping shock bodies in 3M protective film as a replaceable moisture barrier.

This is a shock package — what else do I need for a complete leveling setup?
At minimum: Carli 2.5" front leveling coil springs (required for these shocks to function correctly), an adjustable track bar to re-center the front axle after lift, caster shims to correct front geometry, and extended brake lines. These components are included in Carli's complete Leveling System (CS-DPT25-LVL-13-D) — if you haven't yet lifted the truck, the complete system may be the more straightforward purchase. Why won't these shocks work with the 3.25" lift height?
The shock valving — piston design, oil flow rates, rebound and compression tuning — is calibrated specifically for the spring rate and geometry of Carli's 2.5" front coil springs. The 3.25" lift system uses a different spring rate and geometry that requires a different shock tune. Carli builds and validates each shock package for its specific application; using a 2.5" tune at 3.25" produces a suspension that is neither optimally calibrated for on-road ride nor for off-road control.

My Ram 3500 has factory Air-Assist rear suspension. Does this fit?
No. Factory Air-Assist Ram 3500 trucks require CS-DPT25SPKG-13-D-ALAS — a separately tuned shock package designed around the Air-Assist system's rear spring rate and geometry. Confirm whether your Ram 3500 has this feature before ordering.

Is this front shocks only or front and rear?
Front and rear — this package includes two front shocks and two rear shocks (four shocks total), all King 2.5" Remote Reservoir, Carli custom-tuned. The draft description suggesting front-only was incorrect.

What is the warranty?
Carli provides a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser, with proof of purchase at Carli's retail price required. Wear items excluded.

This package is for the 2013–2019 Ram 3500 Diesel SRW owner who already has Carli's 2.5" front leveling springs installed — or is installing them now — and wants the King 2.5" Remote Reservoir shock performance that Carli's Pintop-level complete systems provide, without purchasing the full system. At approximately $2,981 for four Carli-tuned King 2.5" shocks front and rear, this is the most cost-efficient path to King 2.5" performance on this platform provided the springs and geometry components are already addressed.

It is not for the buyer who is starting from stock suspension — the complete Carli Leveling System includes the springs, track bar, caster shims, and brake lines that this shock package does not. It is not for any Ram 3500 with factory Air-Assist suspension — that requires a separately tuned package. And it is not compatible with Carli's 3.25" lift height, which requires different shock valving.
