Description
Axiom Sway Bar End Link Bushing Kit | 2001–2019 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD | Front Sway Bar
The Axiom Sway Bar End Link Bushing Kit (SKU: AXGMELBK) is a direct-fit replacement bushing kit for the front sway bar end link mounting points on 2001–2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks (GMT800, GMT900, and K2XX platforms). The end link bushings are the rubber isolators at the top and bottom of each sway bar end link — worn or cracked bushings allow excessive sway bar movement, causing clunking over bumps, reduced roll stability, and inconsistent handling under towing and heavy-load conditions. These replacement bushings restore a tight, controlled connection between the sway bar and end links, improving steering response, reducing body roll, and eliminating noise. Replace in pairs. Pairing recommendation: replace bushings at the same time as end links for a complete sway bar end link service.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Chevy Silverado 2500HD (Front Sway Bar): 2001–2019 (GMT800, GMT900, K2XX)
- Chevy Silverado 3500HD (Front Sway Bar): 2001–2019 (GMT800, GMT900, K2XX)
- GMC Sierra 2500HD (Front Sway Bar): 2001–2019 (GMT800, GMT900, K2XX)
- GMC Sierra 3500HD (Front Sway Bar): 2001–2019 (GMT800, GMT900, K2XX)
Does NOT fit: 2020 or newer Silverado/Sierra HD (T1XX platform — different sway bar end link configuration). Does not fit Silverado/Sierra 1500. Confirm model year and platform before ordering.

Symptoms of Worn End Link Bushings
- Clunking or knocking from the front suspension over bumps or during cornering
- Increased body roll during cornering or lane changes
- Vague or imprecise steering feel
- Visible cracking, tearing, or missing bushing material on inspection
- Excessive play in the sway bar end link when checked by hand
Installation Notes
- Replace in pairs: Replace end link bushings on both sides simultaneously. Mismatched bushing condition between left and right will cause unequal sway bar leverage and inconsistent handling.
- Inspect end links: Inspect the sway bar end links for wear, corrosion, or ball joint play before installing new bushings. If the end links are worn, replace them concurrently — see AXGMEL02 (0–2" lift), AXGMEL46 (4–6" lift), or AXGMEL79 (7–9" lift) for the correct end link kit for your lift height.
- Torque specs: Torque end link hardware to OEM specification for 2001–2019 GM 2500HD/3500HD (verify in GM service manual). Torque with suspension at ride height — not at full droop.
- Torque at ride height: Final torque must be applied with the suspension loaded at ride height. Torquing at full droop preloads the bushing and causes premature failure.
Installation Warning
Do not install on 2020 or newer GM HD trucks (T1XX) — different sway bar end link configuration. Replace both sides simultaneously — mismatched bushings cause unequal sway bar leverage and unpredictable handling. Torque at ride height — not at full droop. Once installed, the kit is non-returnable.
What is your lift height (to confirm the correct end link kit — AXGMEL02, AXGMEL46, or AXGMEL79), and have you confirmed your truck is 2001–2019 GMT800/GMT900 or K2XX (not 2020+ T1XX)?
