Description
Axiom Shock Extension Kit | 2011–2026 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD | Leveling & Lift Compatibility
The Axiom Shock Extension Kit (SKU: AXGMSE11) is engineered for 2011–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks running leveling kits or lift systems that alter front suspension geometry. When a leveling kit or lift raises the front of the truck, the factory shock mounts move relative to the shock body — if the shock is not repositioned, it can operate outside its designed travel range, causing over-extension at full droop, premature shock wear, and reduced damping performance. These extensions reposition the factory shocks to maintain correct travel and preserve ride quality. High-strength metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish. Direct bolt-on installation. Covers K2XX (2011–2019) and T1XX (2020–2026) platforms.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Chevy Silverado 2500HD: 2011–2026 — K2XX and T1XX platforms
- Chevy Silverado 3500HD: 2011–2026 — K2XX and T1XX platforms
- GMC Sierra 2500HD: 2011–2026 — K2XX and T1XX platforms
- GMC Sierra 3500HD: 2011–2026 — K2XX and T1XX platforms
Does NOT fit: 2010 or earlier Silverado/Sierra HD (GMT800/GMT900 platform — different shock mounting geometry). Does not fit Silverado/Sierra 1500. Confirm lift height and shock compatibility before ordering — contact OFAS at 903-347-3875 to verify correct extension length for your specific lift height.

When to Use Shock Extensions
- After installing a leveling kit that raises the front suspension mounting point
- When factory shocks are topping out or over-extending at full droop after a lift
- When upgrading to aftermarket shocks that require repositioning for correct travel
- As part of a complete front suspension lift system installation
Installation Notes
- Lift height verification: Confirm your specific lift height and shock type before installing. Extension length must match the lift height — an incorrect extension length will not restore proper shock travel. Contact OFAS at 903-347-3875 to verify compatibility for your build.
- Shock travel check: After installation, verify shock travel at full droop and full compression. The shock should not top out at full droop or bottom out at full compression with the extension installed.
- Torque specs: Torque all shock mounting hardware to OEM specification for 2011–2026 GM 2500HD/3500HD (verify in GM service manual or Axiom install sheet).
- Alignment check: After any front suspension geometry change, verify front-end alignment is within spec. Shock extension installation alone does not require alignment, but confirm no other geometry changes occurred during installation.
- Re-torque: Re-torque all hardware after the first 500 miles of driving following installation.
Installation Warning
Do not install on 2010 or earlier GM HD trucks — GMT800/GMT900 shock mounting geometry is incompatible. Do not install without verifying extension length matches your lift height — incorrect extension length will not restore proper shock travel and can cause shock damage. Verify shock travel at full droop after installation before driving. Once installed, the kit is non-returnable.
What is your current lift height, shock brand and model, and front or rear application — confirm 2011–2026 K2XX or T1XX platform before ordering?
