Description
Axiom Shock Extension Kit | 0–2" Front Lift | 2001–2010 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD
The Axiom Shock Extension Kit (SKU: AXGMSE10) is engineered for 2001–2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks (GMT800 and GMT900 platforms) running 0–2" of front lift via a leveling kit or mild lift system. When the front end is raised, the factory shock mounts move relative to the shock body — if the shock is not repositioned, it can operate outside its designed travel range, causing over-extension at full droop, premature shock wear, and reduced damping performance. These extensions reposition the factory shocks to maintain correct travel and preserve ride quality. High-strength metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish. Direct bolt-on installation — no cutting or modification required.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Chevy Silverado 2500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — 0–2" front lift (GMT800 and GMT900)
- Chevy Silverado 3500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — 0–2" front lift (GMT800 and GMT900)
- GMC Sierra 2500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — 0–2" front lift (GMT800 and GMT900)
- GMC Sierra 3500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — 0–2" front lift (GMT800 and GMT900)
Does NOT fit: 2011 or newer Silverado/Sierra HD (K2XX/T1XX — use AXGMSE11 instead). Does not fit trucks with more than 2" of front lift — a longer extension is required. Does not fit Silverado/Sierra 1500 (use AXGMSE99 for 1999–2006 GM 1500 6-lug).
GM HD Shock Extension Platform Guide
- 1999–2006 GM 1500 6-Lug (0–2" lift): Use AXGMSE99
- 2001–2010 GM 2500HD/3500HD (0–2" lift): Use AXGMSE10 (this listing)
- 2011–2026 GM 2500HD/3500HD: Use AXGMSE11

When to Use Shock Extensions
- After installing a leveling key set (AXGMKEY10) or Stage 1 leveling kit (AXGM10STAGE1) that raises the front suspension 0–2"
- When factory shocks are topping out or over-extending at full droop after a leveling installation
- When upgrading to aftermarket shocks that require repositioning for correct travel at the new ride height
Installation Notes
- Lift height confirmation: This kit is designed for 0–2" of front lift. Do not install on trucks with more than 2" of front lift — a longer extension is required for correct shock travel at higher lift heights.
- Shock travel check: After installation, verify shock travel at full droop and full compression. The shock should not top out at full droop or bottom out at full compression with the extension installed.
- Pairing recommendation: Install shock extensions at the same time as the leveling key set (AXGMKEY10) or Stage 1 leveling kit (AXGM10STAGE1) to ensure correct shock travel at the new ride height from the first drive.
- Torque specs: Torque all shock mounting hardware to OEM specification for 2001–2010 GM 2500HD/3500HD (verify in GM service manual or Axiom install sheet).
- Re-torque: Re-torque all hardware after the first 500 miles of driving following installation.
Installation Warning
Do not install on 2011 or newer GM HD trucks (K2XX/T1XX) — use AXGMSE11 instead. Do not install on trucks with more than 2" of front lift — incorrect extension length will not restore proper shock travel and can cause shock damage. Verify shock travel at full droop after installation before driving. Once installed, the kit is non-returnable.
What is your current front lift height (confirm 0–2"), and are you pairing this with AXGMKEY10 or AXGM10STAGE1 — confirm 2001–2010 GMT800/GMT900 platform before ordering?
