Description
Axiom Leveling Key Set | 0–2" Front Lift | 2001–2010 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD | Torsion Bar Suspension
The Axiom Leveling Key Set (SKU: AXGMKEY10) provides up to 2" of front lift for 2001–2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks equipped with torsion bar front suspension. Forged steel keys replace the factory torsion bar keys and index the torsion bar at a higher preload position, raising the front of the truck to correct factory rake and level the stance. Actual lift achieved varies based on torsion bar condition and factory preload — up to 2" is typical on trucks with unworn torsion bars. Corrosion-resistant finish. Direct bolt-on installation. Front-end alignment is mandatory after installation.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Chevy Silverado 2500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — torsion bar front suspension (GMT800 and GMT900)
- Chevy Silverado 3500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — torsion bar front suspension (GMT800 and GMT900)
- GMC Sierra 2500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — torsion bar front suspension (GMT800 and GMT900)
- GMC Sierra 3500HD (Front): 2001–2010 — torsion bar front suspension (GMT800 and GMT900)
Does NOT fit: 2011–2026 Silverado/Sierra HD (K2XX/T1XX platform — switched to coil spring front suspension, no torsion bar). Does not fit Silverado/Sierra 1500 (different torsion bar key size). Confirm torsion bar suspension before ordering.

Installation Notes
- Alignment mandatory: Full front-end alignment (caster, camber, toe) is required after installation. Torsion key indexing changes front suspension geometry — do not drive the vehicle until aligned by a qualified alignment technician.
- Actual lift varies: Lift achieved depends on factory torsion bar preload and bar condition. Trucks with already-cranked factory keys may achieve less than 2". Measure actual lift after installation before ordering tires or other components sized for a specific lift height.
- Caster correction: A 2" front lift on the GMT800/GMT900 torsion bar platform will reduce positive caster. On trucks used for towing or highway driving, adjustable upper control arms or a caster correction kit is strongly recommended to restore factory caster angle and maintain steering stability.
- Shock compatibility: Torsion key leveling extends front shock travel. Verify front shock travel is compatible with your achieved lift height. Fox 2.0 AX663 (0–2" front lift, 2001–2010 GM HD) is a confirmed compatible shock upgrade for this application.
- Torsion bar condition: Inspect torsion bars for cracks, corrosion, or fatigue before installation. Worn or cracked torsion bars should be replaced before indexing to a higher preload position.
- Torque specs: Torque all suspension hardware to OEM specification for 2001–2010 GM 2500HD/3500HD (verify in GM service manual or Axiom install sheet).
- Re-torque: Re-torque all hardware after the first 500 miles of driving following installation.
Installation Warning
Do not install on 2011 or newer GM HD trucks — K2XX/T1XX platform uses coil spring front suspension with no torsion bar. Do not drive the vehicle until a full front-end alignment has been completed. Do not index torsion bars beyond their rated preload range — over-cranking can cause torsion bar fatigue and failure. Inspect torsion bars for wear before installation. Once installed, the kit is non-returnable.
What is your current tire size, intended use (daily/tow/off-road), have you confirmed torsion bar condition, and do you need a compatible front shock upgrade (AX663) to match your achieved lift height?
