Description
Axiom Cam Bolt Kit | Caster & Camber Alignment Correction | 2001–2010 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500, 2500HD & 3500HD
The Axiom Cam Bolt Kit (SKU: AXGM0026) restores full caster and camber adjustment range on 2001–2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD trucks. Hardened steel cam bolts replace worn, seized, or stripped factory control arm bolts, providing the eccentric adjustment range needed to dial in accurate alignment after leveling kit installation, lift kit installation, control arm replacement, or front suspension service. Corrosion-resistant finish. Direct bolt-on replacement for factory hardware. A front-end alignment is required after installation.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

- Chevy Silverado 2500HD: 2001–2010 (GMT800 and GMT900)
- Chevy Silverado 3500HD: 2001–2010 (GMT800 and GMT900)
- GMC Sierra 1500: 2001–2010 (GMT800 and GMT900)

Does NOT fit: 2011 or newer Silverado/Sierra (K2XX/T1XX — different control arm bolt configuration). Does not fit Colorado or Canyon. Confirm model year before ordering.
When to Use This Kit
- After installing a leveling kit or lift kit that alters front suspension geometry
- After replacing upper or lower control arms
- When factory cam bolts are seized, stripped, or corroded and cannot be adjusted
- When alignment shop cannot achieve caster/camber spec with factory hardware
- As a preventive replacement during front suspension rebuilds on high-mileage trucks
Technical Specifications
- SKU: AXGM0026
- Type: Cam bolt alignment kit — caster and camber adjustment
- Construction: Hardened steel — corrosion-resistant finish
- Function: Eccentric cam bolt design allows caster/camber adjustment at control arm mount
- Installation: Direct bolt-on replacement for factory control arm hardware
- Weight: 0.2 lbs
- Application: Post-lift, post-leveling, and suspension rebuild alignment correction
Installation Notes
- Alignment mandatory: A full front-end alignment (caster, camber, toe) is required after cam bolt installation. Cam bolts set the adjustment range — the alignment technician dials in the final position. Do not drive the vehicle until aligned.
- Seized bolt removal: Factory cam bolts on high-mileage or rust-belt trucks are frequently seized in the control arm bracket. Apply penetrating oil and allow to soak before removal. Heat from a torch applied to the bracket (not the bolt) can assist removal. Do not use an impact wrench to drive seized cam bolts — use a breaker bar to avoid stripping the cam lobe.
- Torque specs: Torque cam bolts to OEM specification for 2001–2010 GM 1500/2500HD/3500HD control arm mounts (verify in GM service manual). Torque with suspension at ride height — not at full droop.
- Torque at ride height: Final torque must be applied with the suspension loaded at ride height. Torquing at full droop will preload the bushing and cause premature bushing wear.
- Pairing recommendation: If installing alongside a leveling kit (AXGMKEY10, AXGMKEY11, or AXGM10STAGE1), install cam bolts before the alignment appointment to allow the technician to set caster and camber in a single visit.
Installation Warning
Do not drive the vehicle until a full front-end alignment has been completed — cam bolt position directly affects caster and camber. Do not torque cam bolts at full suspension droop — bushing preload will cause premature failure. Do not install on 2011 or newer GM trucks — control arm bolt configuration is incompatible. Once installed, the kit is non-returnable.
What suspension work are you pairing this with (leveling kit, lift kit, or control arm replacement), and have you confirmed your truck is 2001–2010 GMT800/GMT900?
