Cam pins lock the upper control arm in the correct caster and camber position, preventing alignment drift under heavy load, towing, and rough terrain. When to Replace Cam Pins

Installation Notes

• Inspect UCA slots: Inspect the upper control arm alignment slots for wear or elongation before installing new pins. Worn or elongated slots will not retain the cam pin correctly and will allow continued alignment drift.
• Torque specs: Torque cam pin hardware to OEM specification for your GM truck platform (verify in GM service manual). Torque with suspension at ride height — not at full droop.
• Pairing recommendation: If cam bolts (AXGM0026) are also worn or seized, replace cam bolts and cam pins together at the same alignment appointment to restore full caster and camber adjustment and locking capability in a single visit.

Installation Warning

Do not drive the vehicle until a full front-end alignment has been completed — cam pin position directly affects caster and camber. Do not install on 1998 or earlier GM trucks — different UCA configuration. Replace both sides simultaneously. Inspect UCA slots for wear before installing — worn slots will not retain pins correctly.
