Description
Performance that matches the build. Finish that proves it.
You didn't cut corners on the lift, the wheels, the tires, the bumper, or the lights. Every component on this Super Duty was chosen because it belongs there. The OEM drag link is stamped steel — it flexes under load, deflects under high-speed steering inputs, and introduces the bump steer that's been working against your front-end geometry since the lift went on. It's not a component that belongs on a build at this level.
The Apex Chassis KIT371-POL is the replacement it deserves. A massive 2" solid 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum drag link with mirror-polished finish, ProLock high-misalignment joints, internal Flopper Stoppers, and a re-engineered anti-shear stabilizer stud — built specifically for the 2005–2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD P221 platform at 2–6" of lift. It performs like the KIT371-BLK. It looks like the rest of your build.

The stabilizer stud detail competitors won't mention: The factory tapered stabilizer pin on the 2005–2016 OEM drag link is a known failure point on builds running 35" or 37" tires on wide wheel packages. The increased scrub radius from aggressive tire and wheel offsets multiplies lateral stress on that pin under every steering input — it shears under sustained high-pressure cycles. Apex completely re-engineered this junction with an oversized ultra-thick stabilizer mounting stud that eliminates the failure point entirely. If your build is running anything bigger than a stock tire package, this isn't a cosmetic detail — it's structural insurance.

| BDS Adjustable Trackbar | Adjustment collar collision during steering cycling | — |
P221 vs P558 generation split — critical: Ford completely redesigned the Super Duty steering geometry between 2016 and 2017. The 2017+ P558/P702 platform requires a slim-profile solid chromoly steel construction — Apex does not make a polished aluminum version for that generation. If your truck is 2017 or newer, the KIT373-BLK in black powdercoat chromoly steel is the correct and only unit available.
⚠️ BDS Adjustable Trackbar incompatibility: The adjustment collars on the BDS trackbar occupy the exact same physical clearance window as this bar during deep steering cycles — they will bind. If you are running a BDS adjustable trackbar, text (469) 407-7538 before ordering. We'll identify the correct configuration for your setup.
Supporting mod requirements:
- Lifts 2–4": Direct replacement. Verify OEM pitman arm compatibility before installing.
- Lifts exceeding 4": Track bar relocation bracket strongly recommended. Verify pitman arm drop compatibility before ordering.
Before You Buy — Questions We Get Asked
Q: What's the difference between KIT371-POL and KIT371-BLK?
Mechanically identical — same 2" 7075-T6 aluminum rod, same ProLock system, same high-misalignment joints, same anti-shear stabilizer stud, same 22 lbs. The only difference is finish. The POL is raw mirror-polished aluminum — show-quality finish that reflects the standard of the build, with a natural patina developing over time that restores instantly with standard aluminum polish. The BLK is industrial black powdercoat — completely maintenance-free and better corrosion protection for working trucks that see road salt year-round. Same performance. Choose based on your build standard.
Q: Does a polished version exist for the 2017–2026 Super Duty?
No. The 2017+ P558/P702 platform has significantly tighter clearance tolerances that required Apex to engineer a slim-profile solid chromoly steel construction — the wall thickness required to achieve the same structural integrity in a 2" aluminum bar makes the clearance geometry physically impossible on that platform. Apex does not make a polished version for the 2017+ generation. If your truck is 2017 or newer, KIT373-BLK in black powdercoat chromoly steel is the correct unit.
Q: Will this fix the bump steer on my lifted F-250 or F-350?
On 2–6" lifted P221 applications, yes — in most cases. The high-misalignment joints, ProLock adjustment system, and corrected geometry address the primary cause of bump steer introduced when the OEM drag link operates beyond its designed range. A full alignment after installation is required to complete the correction. If your tie rod is also OEM, the KIT374-POL complete kit corrects both ends in one session with one alignment fee.
Q: How hard is this install and what will I need?
Intermediate difficulty. Standard hand tools, a torque wrench, and a floor jack are required. A full front-end alignment — caster, camber, and toe — immediately after installation is mandatory. Ensure your aftermarket or OEM stabilizer eyelet bushing seats cleanly over the upgraded Apex stabilizer mounting pin before torquing. Budget one garage session for the swap and one same-day alignment appointment.
The Obsidian Take
The KIT371-POL is for the P221 Super Duty owner who built the truck to a standard and wants every component underneath to reflect it. The 2" solid 7075-T6 construction eliminates the flex and deflection that makes a lifted Super Duty fight the wheel under load. The re-engineered oversized stabilizer stud eliminates the factory pin shear failure that hits builds running 35" or 37" tires on wide wheel offsets — this is structural insurance, not cosmetic detail. The ProLock system physically locks alignment against trail vibration and sustained towing loads. The raw mirror-polished finish is not chrome that flakes or paint that chips — it's buffed 7075-T6 that retains its metallic luster and restores instantly with a pass of aluminum polish when needed. One alignment appointment and the bump steer problem is resolved with a component that looks like it belongs on the build.
This unit is not for 2017 or newer Super Duty owners — Apex does not make a polished version for the P558/P702 platform and the geometry is incompatible. See KIT373-BLK. It is not for builders running a BDS adjustable trackbar — that combination has a hard clearance conflict. If zero maintenance matters more than mirror finish, the mechanically identical KIT371-BLK in black powdercoat is the right call. And if your tie rod is also OEM, the KIT374-POL complete master kit is the smarter purchase — both components corrected in one session with one alignment fee.
