Description
AMP Research PowerStep Xtreme | Plug-N-Play | 2018–2026 Ram 1500 / 2500 / 3500
The AMP Research PowerStep Xtreme is a dual-motor automatic running board engineered for trucks operating in harsh climates, heavy off-road use, and year-round exposure. Twin high-torque motors power each side independently, deploying a wide high-traction step surface on door open and retracting flush to the body on door close. Die-cast aluminum linkages are anodized and PTFE-coated for long-term corrosion resistance. Integrated LED courtesy lighting illuminates the step area at night. Plug-N-Play wiring — no splicing required.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Ram 1500 (New Body/DT): 2019–2026
- Ram 1500 (Classic Body): 2018–2024
- Ram 2500: 2018–2026
- Ram 3500 SRW: 2018–2026
Does NOT fit: Pre-2018 Ram 1500/2500/3500. Verify clearance if running aftermarket rock sliders, oversized flares, or non-OEM body modifications.

Installation Warning
Keep hands and tools clear of the step mechanism during automatic operation. Verify body clearance before installation if running aftermarket rock sliders, nerf bars, or extended fender flares. Confirm exact cab configuration (Regular, Quad, Crew) matches the part number before ordering. Once installed and wiring is connected, the unit is non-returnable.
What is your cab configuration, lift height, and are you running any aftermarket sliders or flares that could affect step clearance?
