Description
AMP Research PowerStep | Plug-N-Play LED | 2019–2026 Ram 2500 / 3500 (Gas Only)
The AMP Research PowerStep is a fully automatic retractable running board engineered for 2019–2026 Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty gas models. On door open, the step deploys to provide a wide, illuminated stepping surface. On door close, it retracts flush to the body for maximum ground clearance and a clean OEM profile. Plug-N-Play wiring — no splicing required. Die-cast aluminum linkages are anodized and PTFE-coated for long-term corrosion resistance.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Ram 2500 (Gas Engine): 2019–2026
- Ram 3500 SRW (Gas Engine): 2019–2026
Does NOT fit: Ram 2500/3500 equipped with the Cummins 6.7L diesel engine — a separate diesel-specific harness is required. Does not fit Ram 1500. Confirm engine type and cab configuration before ordering.
Key Features
- Automatic deploy on door open / retract on door close
- Plug-N-Play wiring harness — no cutting or splicing
- OEM-style integrated LED courtesy lighting
- Heavy-duty die-cast aluminum boards and linkages
- Anodized + PTFE corrosion-resistant finish
- Wide high-traction step surface — all-weather rated
Installation Warning
This SKU is gas-engine specific. Installing on a Cummins diesel-equipped Ram HD will result in wiring incompatibility — do not substitute. Not compatible with aftermarket rock sliders — verify rocker panel clearance before installation. Confirm exact cab configuration (Regular, Quad, Mega) matches the part number before ordering. Keep hands and tools clear of the step mechanism during automatic operation. Once installed and wiring is connected, the unit is non-returnable.
What is your engine type (gas or Cummins diesel), cab configuration, and model year to confirm this is the correct harness for your Ram HD?
