The AMP Research BedStep is a frame-mounted tailgate access step engineered for the 2009–2018 Ram 1500 and 2019–2024 Ram 1500 Classic (DS platform), dual-exhaust configuration. Mounts to the rear frame on the driver or passenger side, providing fast and stable bed access without climbing over the tailgate. Foot-activated deploy and retract — stows flush to maintain ground clearance and a clean OEM profile. High-strength aluminum construction with a reinforced hinge system rated to 300 lbs.

Does NOT fit: 2019–2026 Ram 1500 New Body (DT platform) — different rear frame geometry and exhaust routing. Does not fit single-exhaust Ram 1500 DS models — a separate single-exhaust BedStep SKU is required. Does not fit 2008 or earlier Ram 1500. Confirm your exhaust configuration (single or dual) before ordering.

Installation Warning

This SKU is dual-exhaust specific for the Ram 1500 DS platform (2009–2018) and Ram 1500 Classic (2019–2024). Installing on a single-exhaust model will result in exhaust clearance conflict. Do not install on the 2019–2026 Ram 1500 New Body (DT) — rear frame geometry is incompatible. Verify clearance with aftermarket rear bumpers, rear armor, and tow sensor brackets before ordering. Once installed, the unit is non-returnable.
