AMP Research BedStep | 300 lb Tailgate Step | 2019–2026 Ram 1500 New Body (DT Platform) — Excludes TRX
The AMP Research BedStep is a frame-mounted tailgate access step engineered for the 2019–2026 Ram 1500 New Body (DT platform). Mounts to the rear frame on the driver or passenger side, providing fast and stable bed access without climbing over the tailgate. Foot-activated deploy and retract — stows flush to maintain ground clearance and a clean OEM profile. High-strength aluminum construction with a reinforced hinge system rated to 300 lbs. Textured step pad delivers reliable traction in mud, snow, and wet conditions.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Ram 1500 New Body (DT Platform): 2019–2026 — all bed lengths, 2WD and 4WD (excludes TRX)
Does NOT fit: 2019–2024 Ram 1500 Classic (DS platform — different rear frame geometry). Does not fit Ram 1500 TRX — different rear frame and exhaust routing. Does not fit 2018 or earlier Ram 1500. The Ram 1500 New Body (DT) and Ram 1500 Classic (DS) were sold concurrently from 2019–2024 — confirm your body style before ordering.

Installation Warning
This SKU is fitment-specific to the 2019–2026 Ram 1500 New Body (DT) platform. The Ram 1500 Classic (DS) and New Body (DT) were sold simultaneously from 2019–2024 — installing on a Classic (DS) will result in rear frame mounting incompatibility. Ram 1500 TRX is not compatible due to different rear frame and exhaust routing. Verify clearance with aftermarket rear bumpers, rear armor, and tow sensor brackets before ordering. Once installed, the unit is non-returnable.
