Description
Is This for You?
- You're on a 2019–2026 Silverado or Sierra 1500 T1XX — including AT4, AT4X, Trail Boss, or ZR2 — and want 8" of lift with Elka 2.0 IFP shocks — the maximum bolt-on lift available for this platform before fabrication-level modifications become necessary, with 37" tire clearance and complete geometry correction hardware.
- You understand that 8" of lift on the T1XX platform pushes CV axle angles, driveshaft geometry, and UCA travel to their outer limits — every component in this kit is engineered specifically for 8" of lift on this platform, and the differential drop and UCA geometry are not interchangeable with 4" or 6" configurations.
- You want Elka 2.0 IFP shocks front and rear — Internal Floating Piston monotube damping that eliminates aeration under aggressive cycling, with consistent fade resistance across the full 8" travel range this kit provides.
The Result
- 8" front and rear lift — 37" tire clearance with the included upper control arms, differential drop, and geometry correction hardware engineered for this specific lift height.
- Elka 2.0 IFP shocks front and rear — IFP design eliminates oil/gas aeration, consistent damping across the full stroke range at 8" of suspension travel.
- AT4, AT4X, Trail Boss, and ZR2 compatible — accounts for the factory lift differential present on off-road trims without requiring trim-specific SKUs.
At 8" of lift on the 2019–2026 T1XX Silverado/Sierra 1500, the CV axle operating angle on 4WD models is at the outer limit of the factory CV joint's designed range. The differential drop hardware included in this kit is not optional — it lowers the front differential to reduce the CV axle angle at the new ride height, and at 8" of lift the correction required is significantly greater than at 4" or 6". The Cognito upper control arms in this kit are engineered specifically for 8" geometry on the T1XX platform — the ball joint angle, arm length, and travel range are all spec'd for 8" of lift, not adapted from a lower-lift configuration. The Elka 2.0 IFP shock uses an Internal Floating Piston to physically separate the oil and gas charges inside the 2.0" monotube body, eliminating the aeration that twin-tube shocks produce under aggressive cycling. At 8" of lift with the increased suspension travel this kit provides, the shock is cycling through a wider stroke range under normal use — the IFP design ensures damping consistency is maintained across that full range without the thermal fade that aerated fluid produces. The T1XX platform covers the 2019–2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500 generation. AT4, AT4X, Trail Boss, and ZR2 trims have factory lift built into their suspension tune — this kit accounts for those factory lift differentials and delivers the correct net lift height across all covered trims. Standard trims are also compatible.

✘ Does NOT fit: Silverado/Sierra 1500 with factory MagneRide suspension — verify suspension type before ordering

✘ Does NOT fit: Colorado/Canyon — incompatible platform
Installation Notes
- Upper control arms (included) are 8"-geometry specific. Do not substitute UCAs from 4" or 6" kits — ball joint angles and travel range differ.
- 4WD models: differential drop hardware (included) is mandatory at 8" of lift. CV axle angle without the drop will cause accelerated joint failure.
- Brake line extensions (included) must be installed — factory lines do not have sufficient slack at 8" of lift.
- Full front-end alignment mandatory post-installation. UCA geometry change at 8" produces significant caster and camber deviation.
- Professional installation required. At 8" of lift, driveshaft angles should be verified post-installation — consult your installer on driveshaft modification requirements for your specific configuration.
- Torque all fasteners to Cognito specification. Re-torque all suspension fasteners at 500-mile break-in interval.

Engineering Question: Are you on a 2019–2026 T1XX Silverado/Sierra 1500, and have you confirmed your truck does not have factory MagneRide suspension? Also confirm your drivetrain (2WD vs. 4WD) and trim level — AT4X and ZR2 have factory lift built in, which affects net lift height. At 8" of lift, driveshaft modification may be required depending on your specific configuration — confirm with your installer before ordering.
