Description
Is This for You?
- You're on a 2011–2019 Silverado or Sierra 2500HD/3500HD — 2WD or 4WD — and want 4" of lift with Fox PSMT 2.0 shocks included — a complete geometry-corrected system with position-sensitive monotube damping for a platform that tows, hauls, and sees mixed on/off-road use.
- You need bump steer correction and steering geometry hardware at 4" of lift on an HD platform — the K2 2500HD/3500HD front suspension geometry deviates significantly at 4" without corrected tie rod and drag link angles, and this kit addresses that directly.
- You are on the 2011–2019 K2 platform — not the 2020+ T1 architecture. The 2020+ Silverado/Sierra HD moved to a revised front suspension design that is not compatible with this kit.
The Result
- 4" front lift with corrected steering geometry — bump steer reduction, corrected tie rod angles, and stable steering feel under tow and haul loads.
- Fox PSMT 2.0 shocks front and rear — position-sensitive monotube damping with consistent fade resistance under repeated impacts and sustained towing loads.
- Complete kit: geometry correction hardware, Fox shocks, brake line extensions, and all fasteners included.
The Fox PSMT 2.0 is a true monotube shock — a single-tube design where the oil and gas charges are separated by a floating piston, eliminating the aeration that twin-tube shocks produce under aggressive cycling. The position-sensitive (PSMT) valving adds bypass ports at specific points in the stroke: the initial stroke is tuned for on-road compliance under tow and haul loads, and the valving progressively stiffens as the shock approaches full compression, resisting harsh bottom-out under off-road impacts without sacrificing the controlled, predictable damping an HD truck requires under load. On the K2 2500HD/3500HD platform, 4" of lift introduces significant bump steer if the steering geometry is not corrected — the factory tie rod and drag link angles are designed for stock ride height, and at 4" of lift those angles produce toe change through the suspension travel range, which manifests as steering wander and instability under load. The Cognito geometry correction hardware included in this kit addresses tie rod and drag link angles at the new lift height, restoring stable steering behavior. The 2011–2019 application window covers the K2 platform generation; the 2020+ Silverado/Sierra HD transitioned to the T1 platform with a revised front suspension architecture that requires a different kit entirely.

Installation Notes
- Steering geometry correction hardware (included) must be installed. Do not install lift components without correcting tie rod and drag link angles — bump steer will be severe at 4" of lift without it.
- Brake line extensions (included) must be installed — factory lines do not have sufficient slack at 4" of lift.
- Full front-end alignment mandatory post-installation. Geometry correction hardware changes caster, camber, and toe.
- Torque all fasteners to Cognito specification. Re-torque all suspension fasteners at 500-mile break-in interval.
- Professional installation required. Verify model year is 2011–2019 K2 platform before beginning installation.

Engineering Question: Are you on a 2011–2019 K2 platform Silverado/Sierra 2500HD or 3500HD SRW, running 2WD or 4WD? Confirm your model year — the 2020+ T1 platform requires a different kit entirely. Also confirm SRW vs. DRW configuration on 3500HD models before ordering.
