Description
Is This for You?
- You're on a 2023–2026 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss or GMC Canyon AT4 and want 2" of front leveling to eliminate the factory rake and clear 33" tires without a full lift kit — bolt-on CNC-machined aluminum spacers, no cutting, no welding.
- You're on a 2023–2026 Canyon AT4X or Colorado ZR2 — these trims ship with a factory 1" front lift, so this kit delivers a net 1" of additional leveling over the factory stance to match the rear height without overlifting the front geometry.
- You want a direct bolt-on spacer solution that installs above the factory strut without modifying the OEM strut assembly — no spring replacement, no valving change, no alignment beyond what a standard front-end alignment corrects.
The Result
- 2" front leveling on Colorado Trail Boss and Canyon AT4 — eliminates factory rake, levels the front to rear height.
- 1" net front leveling on Canyon AT4X and Colorado ZR2 — accounts for the factory 1" lift already present on these trims.
- CNC-machined aluminum construction — dimensionally precise, corrosion resistant, no deflection under load.
A spacer leveling kit works by installing a machined spacer between the top of the factory strut assembly and the factory strut tower mount, pushing the front suspension down relative to the chassis and raising the front ride height. The Cognito spacer is CNC-machined from aluminum billet — not cast, not stamped — which ensures dimensional accuracy at the mounting surfaces and eliminates the deflection and creep that lower-grade spacer materials introduce over time. The dual-application design of this SKU accounts for the factory lift differential between trim levels: the Trail Boss and AT4 ship at standard ride height, so the full 2" spacer delivers 2" of net front lift. The AT4X and ZR2 ship with a factory 1" front lift already built into the suspension tune, so the same 2" spacer delivers a net 1" of additional leveling over the factory stance — bringing the front to match the rear without overlifting the front geometry beyond the strut's designed travel range. At 15 lbs, this is a complete front leveling kit. No rear components are included or required for leveling — rear height remains at factory spec.

✔ 2023–2026 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss 4WD — 2" Front Leveling
✔ 2023–2026 GMC Canyon AT4 4WD — 2" Front Leveling

✘ Does NOT fit: Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon base/non-off-road trims — strut mount geometry differs from Trail Boss/AT4/AT4X/ZR2
✘ Does NOT fit: 2022 and earlier Colorado/Canyon — previous generation platform (T1 vs. T1XX)
✘ Does NOT fit: 2WD Colorado/Canyon models — different front strut geometry
✘ Does NOT fit: Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra — incompatible platform
Installation Notes
- Bolt-on installation above the factory strut assembly. No strut disassembly, no spring replacement required.
- Full front-end alignment mandatory post-installation. Spacer lift changes caster and toe — do not drive without alignment.
- Verify trim level before ordering. Trail Boss/AT4 and AT4X/ZR2 deliver different net lift heights from this same SKU due to factory ride height differences.
- Torque all fasteners to Cognito specification.
Engineering Question: Are you on a Trail Boss/AT4 (expecting 2" of net front lift) or an AT4X/ZR2 (expecting 1" of net front lift over factory stance)? Confirm your trim level before ordering — the net lift height differs between these configurations due to the factory 1" lift already present on AT4X and ZR2 models.
