- You're on a 2014–2018 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel 4WD and you need a coilover system valved and sprung specifically for the 3.0L diesel engine weight distribution — not a HEMI tune, not a Pentastar tune, an EcoDiesel-specific spring rate and damper calibration.
- You want King 2.5" Remote Reservoir coilovers up front and King 2.5" Piggyback rears with 17-4 stainless shafts, 10" of front travel, and 13" of rear travel on the DS platform.
- You do NOT have factory 4-corner air suspension — this system is incompatible with air-ride equipped trucks. Verify your suspension type before ordering.

The 2014–2018 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel carries meaningfully more front axle weight than the HEMI or Pentastar variants — the 3.0L diesel engine and its associated hardware shift the front weight distribution enough that a HEMI-spec spring rate will sit too high and a HEMI-spec damper tune will be too soft under the diesel's front load. Carli's EcoDiesel-specific calibration addresses this directly: the linear rate front coils are spec'd for the diesel chassis weight, and the King 2.5" Remote Reservoir valving is mapped to that spring rate. Running this system on a HEMI or Pentastar Ram 1500 will produce an oversprung front end that sits higher than advertised and rides harshly — this is an engine-specific SKU, not a universal Ram 1500 fitment. The King 2.5" Remote Reservoir coilover provides more oil volume than a standard 2.0" unit, raising the thermal ceiling before fade onset under repeated off-road impacts. The 17-4 stainless steel shafts offer higher tensile strength than standard chrome-moly and significantly better corrosion resistance in high-moisture environments. Carli strongly recommends the Uniball Upper Control Arms (CS-RAM15UCA-09, sold separately) — without UCAs, the factory rubber ball joint binds at the increased droop angle produced by 2.0" of lift, restricting down-travel and placing alignment geometry outside OEM spec.

Installation Notes
