The King 3.0" Remote Reservoir shock runs a 3.0" body diameter with a remote reservoir canister — significantly more oil volume than a 2.0" or 2.5" shock body. That oil volume is the primary variable controlling thermal fade: more volume means a higher thermal ceiling before damping consistency degrades under repeated high-speed impacts or sustained towing loads. On the 2017–2026 Super Duty platform, Carli engineered custom offset upper stem-top and lower mounts that allow the King 3.0" body to clear the factory coil bucket geometry without cutting or boring — a meaningful advantage over older platforms where bucket boring is mandatory. The progressive rate front coil springs (CS-FMRC-17) are not a generic lift spring — they are rate-matched to the King 3.0" valving curve and calibrated for Powerstroke front axle weight. Running these springs against a gas-engine weight distribution will produce an oversprung front end. The rear King 3.0" Piggyback shocks require weld-on frame mounts (CS-FRSM-17) because the 3.0" body diameter and the forces generated at 13.0" of rear travel exceed what a bolt-on bracket can reliably handle at speed. Rear lift height is determined by leaf spring selection — this base system does not include rear leaf springs; an Add-A-Pack or Full Progressive Leaf Pack must be selected separately. The Torsion Sway Bar (CS-FTSB-45-17, sold separately) is not optional if you intend to use the full travel range — standard sway bar drops will bind before the suspension reaches full droop, limiting the travel the King 3.0" shocks are designed to provide.

Installation Notes
- Front Installation: Bolt-in. Custom offset upper stem-top and lower mounts allow King 3.0" shocks to install without cutting or boring factory coil buckets. No front fabrication required.
- Rear Shock Mounts (CS-FRSM-17): Weld-on. Must be offset from the frame to clear the 3.0" shock body and provide structural integrity for high-speed use. Professional welding required.
- Rear Leaf Springs: Not included in this base system. An Add-A-Pack or Full Progressive Leaf Pack must be selected separately. Rear lift height is determined by leaf selection.
- Torsion Sway Bar (CS-FTSB-45-17): Sold separately. Standard sway bar drops will bind before full droop and limit available travel. Carli strongly recommends this upgrade.
- Full front-end alignment mandatory post-installation. Caster correction shims (included) address primary deviation at 4.5" lift — verify final alignment specs with installer.
- Torque all fasteners to Carli specification. Re-torque all suspension fasteners at 500-mile break-in interval.
