The COR-4805015 is Clayton Off Road's Pro Series front 3-link long arm conversion kit for the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and LJ Unlimited. This is an upgrade conversion kit for TJ/LJ builds already running a long arm system — it is not a complete long arm kit. The kit adds a single upper 3-link arm with 1/4" weld-on frame and axle mounts, converting the front suspension from a 4-link to a 3-link geometry. The 3-link front geometry eliminates the binding characteristics of the factory 4-link upper arm arrangement at extreme suspension travel, providing maximum axle articulation for hardcore off-road use. The upper arm uses a Currie Johnny Joint at the frame end — 40° of unrestricted movement with Tough 88 urethane casing for shock absorption and NVH isolation — and a GIIRO dual-durometer bushing at the axle end. Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Welding required. The 1/4" frame and axle mounts are weld-on — professional fabrication capability or access to a certified welder is required.
- Custom exhaust required. The 3-link front geometry requires a custom exhaust to clear the new upper arm and mount layout.
- Front CV-style driveshaft and SYE kit required. Source and install before driving after conversion.
- Install the Clayton D30 front truss (highly recommended) before welding the axle mount — the truss reinforces the front axle tube at the new upper arm mount location. Aftermarket axles require a truss specific to your axle.
- Weld the 1/4" frame mount and axle mount per Clayton's installation instructions — verify position and angle before final weld-out.
- Install the upper 3-link arm and set initial length using the LH/RH thread adjustment.
- Set caster and pinion angle with the vehicle at ride height after full installation.
- Front alignment (caster, toe) must be verified after installation.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
