The COR-2500125 is Clayton Off Road's purpose-built crow's foot jam nut wrench for 1-1/4" suspension jam nuts. Standard 1-7/8" open-end wrenches are manufactured to a nominal 1.875" jaw width — the manufacturing tolerance on both the wrench and the jam nut means the actual contact is often on 2 corners rather than all 6 flats, which concentrates torque load and rounds the hex under high torque. Clayton's wrench is machined to 1.843" inside width — 0.032" undersized from nominal — which takes up the clearance and forces full 6-point contact across all flats simultaneously. This distributes the torque load evenly and eliminates the corner-loading that rounds jam nuts during installation or service. The crow's foot design accepts a 1/2" drive ratchet or torque wrench, allowing accurate torque application in the confined access areas typical of Jeep suspension pivot locations. This is the larger of the two Clayton jam nut wrenches — for 1" jam nuts, see COR-2500100 (1.485" bore). Note: the 1.843" bore is intentionally undersized and may not fit all jam nut applications — verify your jam nut is a standard 1-1/4" hex before ordering.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Use with a 1/2" drive ratchet or torque wrench — do not use with an impact gun; impact torque will damage the crow's foot and the jam nut.
- Verify your jam nut is a standard 1-1/4" hex (1-7/8" wrench size) before use — the 1.843" bore will not engage a jam nut that is out-of-spec or has rounded flats.
- Apply the wrench squarely to the jam nut before applying torque — angled engagement defeats the 6-point contact advantage.
- Torque jam nuts to your specific Clayton arm or track bar specification — refer to Clayton's installation instructions for the correct torque value for your application.
- Inspect the wrench bore for wear after extended use — a worn bore will lose the undersized advantage and begin to slip on jam nut flats.
