Material is 1541 steel — a resulfurized, rephosphorized carbon steel with higher tensile and yield strength than standard 1018 or 1020 mild steel, appropriate for the bending and tension loads of a sway bar end link under articulation. Yellow zinc finish (chromate conversion over zinc plate) provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard clear zinc, consistent with the finish spec used on Clayton's Grade 8 bolt hardware. The 1/2"-20 fine thread pitch provides higher thread engagement per inch than coarse thread, reducing the risk of thread stripping under the lateral loads of sway bar operation.
