Description
Is This for You?
- You're converting your TJ or LJ from the OEM 5-link rear suspension to a 4-link design and need a truss that mounts to your specific axle housing — this truss fits Dana 35, Dana 44, Dana 60, Ford 8.8, Ford 9", and Sterling 10.25 housings, covering the full range of TJ/LJ rear axle options including swaps.
- You want pre-welded 4-link tabs ready to accept control arm hardware without additional fabrication — the 1/4" CNC laser-cut tabs are welded on at the factory, so you're mounting arms, not building brackets from scratch.
- You're building a custom 4-link application on any of the supported axle housings and need a proven truss geometry — this truss is used across multiple Clayton Off Road 4-link suspension kits and is dimensioned for consistent fitment across all listed axle types.
The Result
- 2.5"x2.5" 3/16" wall square tube truss body — CNC laser-cut and precisely bent for consistent fit across Dana 35, Dana 44, Dana 60, Ford 8.8, Ford 9", and Sterling 10.25 housings.
- 1/4" CNC laser-cut 4-link tabs pre-welded at the factory — ready for control arm installation without secondary tab fabrication or welding.
- Eliminates the OEM rear track bar — triangulated 4-link geometry provides lateral axle location through arm geometry, gaining flex, strength, and simplicity over the stock 5-link design.
The COR-1200010 is Clayton's production 4-link rear axle truss, used across their TJ/LJ 4-link suspension kit lineup and available separately for custom builds. The truss body is constructed from 2.5"x2.5" square tube with a 3/16" wall — CNC laser-cut and precisely bent in-house to ensure consistent housing contact geometry across all supported axle types. The updated design uses 1/4" laser-cut steel with structural cutouts that add rigidity while keeping weight gain to approximately 4 lbs over the previous version. Four 4-link tabs are CNC laser-cut from 1/4" steel and welded on at the factory, providing ready-to-use mounting points for triangulated upper control arms without requiring the builder to source, position, and weld tabs separately. The triangulated 4-link geometry eliminates the need for a rear track bar by providing lateral axle location through arm geometry — a simpler, stronger, and more articulation-friendly design than the OEM 5-link setup. Compatible axle housings include Dana 35, Dana 44, Dana 60, Ford 8.8, Ford 9", and Sterling 10.25, covering the full range of factory and swap axles used in TJ/LJ builds. Made in the USA.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
✅ Fits Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997–2006) — Dana 35, Dana 44 Rear Axle — 4-Link Conversion
✅ Fits Jeep Wrangler LJ Unlimited (2004–2006) — Dana 35, Dana 44 Rear Axle — 4-Link Conversion
✅ Compatible with Dana 60, Ford 8.8, Ford 9", Sterling 10.25 axle swaps in TJ/LJ chassis
✅ Compatible with custom 4-link applications on any supported axle housing
❌ Does NOT fit Jeep Wrangler JK (2007–2018) — different rear axle housing geometry and suspension architecture
❌ Does NOT fit Jeep Wrangler JL (2018–2026) — different rear suspension design
❌ Does NOT fit Dana 70 — not listed as a compatible housing for this truss
❌ Not a bolt-on replacement — weld-on installation required
Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Weld-on installation — professional fabrication required. This truss welds to the axle housing. Proper welding equipment and fabrication experience are required.
- Clean axle housing to bare metal in the truss contact zone — remove paint, undercoating, and rust for full-penetration welds.
- Dry-fit the truss to the housing and verify alignment and squareness before tacking — the truss must sit square to the axle centerline.
- Tack-weld in position and verify 4-link tab alignment against your control arm pivot locations before final welding.
- Full-penetration MIG or TIG welds on all truss-to-housing contact surfaces — do not stitch weld only on primary load-bearing joints.
- After welding, coat all bare metal with weld-through primer or chassis paint to prevent corrosion at weld zones.
- Rear alignment (toe, thrust angle, pinion angle) must be set after full 4-link installation — do not drive without alignment after a 4-link conversion.
- Removing the rear track bar is part of the 4-link conversion — lateral axle location is provided by the triangulated arm geometry after installation.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Axle truss component — no direct wheel or tire fitment restriction. Tire clearance is determined by your 4-link arm geometry, lift height, and fender configuration, not by the truss itself.
Engineering Question: Have you confirmed your rear axle housing type before ordering? Dana 35, Dana 44, Dana 60, Ford 8.8, Ford 9", and Sterling 10.25 are all compatible — Dana 70 is not. If you're running a Dana 70 or a non-listed axle, contact us before ordering to verify fitment.
