Description
Is This for You?
- You've added a front bumper, winch, or skid plates to your JL and the front end is sagging — these springs are rated at 188 lb/in with an 18.375" free length specifically to restore ride height and carry accessory weight without over-stiffening the front axle.
- You're building a 2.5" lift on your JL and want a coil spring that delivers lift without a harsh, bouncy ride — Clayton's taller spring design increases capacity through free length, not rate, keeping the ride compliant on and off road.
- You're running a V6, I4 Turbo, or I4 4XE JL and need a spring spec'd for your platform's front axle weight — this spring is engineered for the JL's front suspension geometry and load distribution across all three gas and hybrid powertrains.
The Result
- 188 lb/in spring rate at 18.375" free length — delivers 2.5" of front lift with load capacity for aftermarket bumpers, winches, and trail gear.
- Taller free length design increases capacity without raising spring rate — maintains a compliant, controlled ride on pavement and trail.
- Black powder coat finish and USA manufacture — corrosion-resistant, individually labeled, and packaged in heavy-duty bags for clean installation.
Clayton's COR-1508250 front coil springs are engineered specifically for the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL platform across V6, I4 Turbo, and I4 4XE powertrains. The 188 lb/in spring rate is calibrated for the JL's front suspension geometry and the added unsprung weight common in built rigs — aftermarket steel bumpers, winches, and recovery gear that push OEM springs into coil bind or sag. The 18.375" free length provides 2.5" of front lift through increased spring travel rather than a stiffer rate, which preserves ride quality on road and allows the front axle to articulate fully on trail without spring separation. Each spring is powder coated black for corrosion resistance and individually labeled with the part number for inventory and warranty tracking. Sold as a pair. Made in the USA.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
✅ Fits 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door — V6 GAS, I4 Turbo, I4 4XE — Front, 2.5" Lift
✅ Fits 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited (4-Door) — V6 GAS, I4 Turbo, I4 4XE — Front, 2.5" Lift
❌ Does NOT fit 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL V6 Diesel — different front axle weight requires separate spring spec (1.5" lift application)
❌ Does NOT fit 2021–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL V8 392 — heavier front end requires separate spring spec (1.5" lift application)
❌ Does NOT fit 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK — different spring perch diameter and free length spec
❌ Does NOT fit 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator JT — different front suspension geometry and spring spec
❌ Does NOT fit rear spring positions
Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Front coil spring replacement requires a spring compressor — do not attempt without proper spring compression tools.
- Disconnect front sway bar end links before removing OEM springs to allow full droop for safe spring removal.
- Verify upper and lower spring perch condition before installation — replace worn isolators to prevent spring noise and premature wear.
- After installation, perform a front-end alignment — caster and camber will shift with ride height change.
- On JL models equipped with ADAS (forward collision warning, lane keep assist): recalibrate front camera and radar sensors per Jeep service procedure after any suspension height change.
- Torque all suspension fasteners to OEM specification after installation with vehicle at ride height (not at full droop).
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Compatible with standard JL wheel and tire combinations up to 35" tires on a 2.5" lift with no additional modifications. Running 37" tires may require additional modifications — verify with your builder. No load range restriction imposed by this spring set.
Engineering Question: Are you running a V6 Diesel or V8 392 JL? If yes, this is not the correct spring — those powertrains require a different spring spec due to increased front axle weight. Confirm your engine before ordering.
